The event was attended by researchers from INION RAS, the Institute of CIS Countries, the Institute for African Studies RAS and the Institute of Latin America RAS. During the speeches and active discussion, a wide range of issues related to both domestic and foreign policy of China was highlighted.

China's great success in its domestic and foreign policy was noted, and the results of Russian-Chinese negotiations during the recent visit to the Russian Federation of the President of the People's Republic of China were considered. The participants of the round table emphasised the significant potential for strengthening and developing the strategic partnership between Russia and China in all areas, including closer coordination on international policy issues.
